The „Titu Maiorescu” University, with its vast experience in organizing international scientific events, has taken on the challenge of launching a new conference in 2013, dedicated to Law, European Studies and International Relations. This conference is designed to bring together academics, researchers, professors, doctoral students, students and law practitioners, in order to exchange and discuss their experiences and research results regarding the reform of legislation in accordance with the latest national, European and international trends.Under the theme ”We do not inherit the land from our ancestors, we simply borrow it from our children”, this year's focus is on the universality of inheritance law and the complexity of the rights, obligations and controversial issues arising from the regulation of national and international successions. This conference will explore doctrinal foundations, as well as discuss topics related to the succession procedure, the resolution of conflicts of law and legal actions, taxation, intellectual property rights, parentage, transfer of goodwill, shares, insolvency proceedings and more. Through this event, we hope to generate creative thoughts and energies that will lead to the necessary and perpetual upgrade of the legal systems, in response to the increasing diversity of the world.
